The Rapid City Dinosaur Park in South Dakota is one of the area’s iconic tourist attractions. It was built in 1936 and is a reminder that dinosaurs once inhabited the area. As a result, many fossils have been found along the ridge.
Yes, this attraction is super cheesy. But, who says cheesy can’t be fun? The Rapid City Dinosaur Park is a great place to stretch your legs and explore. There are 4 friendly dinosaur sculptures along a circular path. Kids (or adults) can climb around and pose for pictures. As a bonus, the park is located on a ridge with scenic views of the Black Hills.

While it is easy to park your car at Dinosaur Hill, you will have to climb some stairs to reach the dinosaur path.

The Rapid City Dinosaur Park is a fun attraction which doesn’t take a lot of time to experience. All you need is 15 to 30 minutes to make the loop and pose with the beasts. And, it certainly won’t break your budget. It’s free! Yet, this unique family friendly park is likely to make a big impression on both kids and adults alike.
