This was our first visit to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, and we had such a great time sampling dishes from several booths. We didn’t try everything (there’s just no way), but we definitely enjoyed what we did choose. The best part was that we never waited in long lines, which made it easy to relax and just enjoy the experience.

Our first stop was The Alps, where we tried the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Alpine Ham.

The dish came with a small baguette, baby potatoes, and a pickle, all covered in melted Swiss cheese.

The cheese was warm and gooey, and the combination of flavors made it a fun and hearty way to start our day at the festival.

Next up was the Canada Pavilion, which I was especially excited to try.

I’ve heard a lot about the famous cheese soup from Le Cellier Steakhouse, but have never eaten there, so this was my chance to get a taste of it.

The Cheddar and Bacon Soup served with a Pretzel Roll did not disappoint. It was creamy, smoky, and perfect for dipping.

We also tried the Filet Mignon with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. While it wasn’t the most tender filet I’ve ever had, the flavor was excellent, and we both really enjoyed it.

From there, we headed to the Flavors of America booth.

I know, not the most adventurous stop, but the Gulf Coast style Seafood Roll caught our attention.

It had warm-water lobster, rock shrimp, and a lobster bisque sauce on a toasted brioche bun. This ended up being a great choice. It was flavorful, rich, and one of the highlights of the day.

Finally, we stopped at the Belgium Pavilion, where we tried two things: the Beer Braised Beef with Gouda Mashed Potatoes and a Belgian Waffle topped with chocolate and whipped cream.

Both were delicious, but the beef dish was probably my favorite thing we had all day. I love Gouda and beef, so that combination was right up my alley.

The mashed potatoes were creamy with just the right smoky flavor, and the beef was tender and comforting.

The waffle made for a sweet finish to our food tour.

We skipped a few booths we’d hoped to visit that had long lines, but there was still plenty to enjoy.
The festival merchandise was really fun to browse, too. I picked up a few souvenirs, including a spatula,

a Christmas ornament,

and a cute salt and pepper shaker set.

There was even a Food and Wine Festival Loungefly backpack that was really tempting. And while you can’t buy this Loungefly anywhere but in the parks, you can scratch that Disney Loungefly itch on Amazon.

Overall, it was such a fun experience and a great way to spend the day trying new things and soaking in the atmosphere.
We stayed close to Epcot in the Walt Disney World Dolphin. If you’re in the mood for Dole Whip, you can get some at the Dolphin’s Fuel Cafe.
