Sun Princess Main Dining Room (MDR): Dinner Menus and Food Photos

During our 11-night Mediterranean cruise aboard Sun Princess, we ate almost every dinner in the Soleil Main Dining Room (MDR).

We skipped the specialty restaurants this time, with only a couple of dinners (nights 4 and 8) at the American Diner for a change of pace.

We had traditional late seating in the MDR and requested a table by the windows, which turned out to be one of our favorite parts of the experience.

Most evenings we enjoyed beautiful ocean views, and on a few nights we even caught the sunset during dinner. Service was relaxed, with dinner typically lasting about an hour and a half, giving us plenty of time to enjoy each course. Overall, we thought the food was very good, with the beef entrées standing out as some of our favorite meals of the cruise.

Looking back over all 11 nights, we were very happy with our dining experience in the Soleil Main Dining Room.

Since we didn’t have the Princess Premier Package, we chose not to pay extra for specialty dining, and honestly, we never felt like we were missing out. I’d probably try a couple of the specialty restaurants on a future cruise just for the experience, but I wouldn’t hesitate to enjoy the Main Dining Room again.
