Silver Dollar City Pumpkin Nights

Pumpkin Nights is now called the Harvest Festival. Check out this more recent post. Silver Dollar City Harvest Festival

Silver Dollar City Pumpkin Nights is the park’s new fall festival. I’d seen advertisements for the event, and it looked really neat.  So, we decided we’d take a quick weekend trip to check it out.

The park has loads of rides and attractions for small children. Older kids, teens, and adventurous adults will love the thrill rides. For those of us who want to keep our feet on the ground, there are demonstrations by craftsmen and lots of live shows.

While Pumpkin Nights is clearly intended to be enjoyed after dark, I’d suggest also visiting in the day!

Most of Silver Dollar City’s rides continue to operate until the park closes. But, many of the shops close earlier. And, most of the live shows and craftsmen demonstrations occur during the day.

Our weekend trip to Silver Dollar City Pumpkin Nights was a blast! And, I suspect judging by the number of visitors, that this fun fall festival will become an annual event.

Looking for a place to stay? We tried something new on this visit to Branson. We stayed on Indian Point just a few minutes away from Silver Dollar City at Still Waters Resort. I really loved that the resort ran a shuttle throughout the day to Silver Dollar City! It was so nice not to have to fight the traffic and get dropped off/picked up at the door!
